What is the beach cleanup?

Beach clean ups take place annually on the beach of Kijkduin, near Scheveningen. During this special event, volunteers are called upon to clean up the beach and collect waste that has been left on the beach or washed up. The initiative is an important part of preserving the beach, the marine life and the natural beauty of the area. With beach clean ups, you and your colleagues will have an unforgettable active company outing!

The beach clean ups are organized by various organizations, including local environmental organizations, companies and government agencies. Volunteers can register for these events and receive instructions on how to collect and sort the waste. Usually the necessary materials, such as gloves and garbage bags, are provided by the organizers.
