Expedition Columbus is a unique event that challenges participants to test their skills and strategies in six thrilling games. Each game is carefully designed to challenge you both physically and mentally:
1 – Obstacle course with walking A
Conquer the course and crack the code to the puzzle to achieve the ultimate triumph. In teams, you must combine each other's physical skills and problem-solving abilities as you complete a challenging course and then solve a complex puzzle. A fun mix of gaming fun, tactical thinking and physical exertion.
2 – Catapult Shooting
Build, aim, and hit the target during Catapult Shooting! Teams combine creativity and precision by building a catapult together and then using it for the real thing. With only three balls per team, accuracy is essential: aim accurately so your teammates can catch the balls successfully. Only correctly caught balls count. Which team has the best teamwork and the sharpest shot?
3 – Blind Run
How good is your ability to hang bamboo poles, without being able to see anything? You will find out in the blindfold game, where teamwork and communication are key. Communication by the team members is key here: They are your eyes that you are not allowed to use! The ultimate test of mutual trust and teamwork.
4 – Block balance
Expedition Columbus is not complete without a real balancing game. During block balance, it is important to build the highest possible tower, without a single block falling off the stack. Sounds easy, you might say, but nothing could be further from the truth: The block tower balances on a moving platform that constantly wobbles and swings.
5 – Flag signals
Test your teamwork and sharpness during Flag Signals, where words come to life without spoken language. Two team members communicate exclusively with flags, while the rest of the team tries to decipher the secret flag codes as quickly as possible. Focus, teamwork, and quick interpretation are crucial: the more words you correctly translate within the given time, the more points you earn. A thrilling challenge that focuses on nonverbal communication.
6 – Balance test
Concentration and control are essential in the Balance Challenge. One by one, team members carry a ball across a scaffolding. Any misstep can be fatal, because if the ball falls, the game has to start over. Only with calmness, balance, and teamwork can all the balls be safely transported. The team that accomplishes this first wins.
