Powerkiting in Amsterdam: Is it even possible? 

Powerkiting in busy Amsterdam. You would almost think that this is not possible. However, nothing could be further from the truth, because there are enough places in the capital where the activity can be realized perfectly. Think especially of places where you have enough space to safely and optimally enjoy the wind, such as vast grass fields, beaches and open fields just outside the center of Amsterdam.

Flitz-Events is located in Scheveningen, where we always have a guaranteed spot for powerkiting. We would also like to welcome you there if you have no preference for the location of the outing.

What exactly is power kiting? 

If you walk along the beaches of Scheveningen, Katwijk, Bloemendaal or Zandvoort in the summer, you will undoubtedly see people pulling large kites through the air, sometimes even gliding over the beach with great force. That is powerkiting! 

Powerkiting is an adventure sport where you use a large kite, often with multiple lines, to propel yourself forward. The goal is to use the power of the wind to steer and drag yourself through the sand. It is a sport that requires both technique and strength, but above all offers a great experience for all ages. 

Powerkiting Amsterdam: from beginners to experienced kite flyers

Regardless of your experience with powerkiting, in Amsterdam we offer an activity that is suitable for everyone. Whether you are just starting to learn to fly a kite or already have experience with kitesurfing or other flying sports, our instructors will adapt the lesson to your level. You will also start with a kite that is suitable in size for your experience and the weather conditions. 

Then our instructors will work with you to learn the basics of powerkiting, such as controlling the kite, understanding the wind direction and performing the right techniques. Of course, we teach the more experienced powerkiters new tricks. 

Combine powerkiting in Amsterdam with another activity

Powerkiting is of course a great activity in itself. However, we understand that after those 2,5 hours you still have energy left for something else! That is why we offer the possibility to combine powerkiting in Amsterdam with another fun activity. Think of a cozy drink, an exciting teambuilding game or another sporty outing.
